To enrich students' learning experience at Esiteti Primary School, the staff at Tortilis Camp Amboseli organise regular visits to the school, engaging with the students on topics ranging from conservation to hospitality.

At the end of March, one of the Tortilis guides, John Njoroge, visited Esiteti Primary and spoke to over 100 students across Grades 1 to 9. He discussed the importance of preserving the environment, the local wildlife and their vital roles in maintaining a healthy ecosystem, how communities and wildlife can coexist, and the key role tourism plays in conservation.

John had a wonderful time interacting with the kids and put it perfectly in his own words:

“The main reason for educating children on environmental conservation from a young age is because I believe children are the first link in the formation of an ecological culture, ecological thinking and an ecological knowledge.”
